STAFF INTERVIEW

What do you enjoy the most at work?
The part I enjoy most about my current job is the process of thinking and discussing with my supervisor. Every job inevitably involves various unusual situations and challenges, big or small. What I enjoy most is dissecting these issues and uncovering their root causes. This gives me a sense of accomplishment, and it also equips me with valuable problem-solving techniques and deepens my understanding of various situations. Through this process and exchange of opinions and experiences with my supervisor, I continuously enhance my judgment and broaden my perspective. I have come to realize that many problems are far more complex than they initially appear. Often, our limited perspective can lead us to overlook crucial details. However, by engaging in thorough discussions with my supervisor and conducting extensive analyses, I can break through these blind spots to reach a shared understanding.

I love thinking and learning. I find immense satisfaction in the process of reflection and verification. This journey contributes to my personal growth, whether it is about extensive analysis of malfunctions or problem-solving techniques. My daily work constantly challenges and stimulates me, driving me to believe that as long as we maintain focused, solutions will always outnumber the problems we face.

What are your main responsibilities, and what is the most challenging part of this job?
My current responsibilities at PRORIL include engineering and facility management. The most challenging part of this role is managing the progress of engineering projects and prioritizing different tasks effectively. Engineering and facility management involve a wide range of duties, and I often joke that I wish I had eight arms to juggle everything. When both duties overlap, it can be quite demanding. I sometimes fantasize about being the Monkey King with his magical powers to handle them all. Despite these challenges, I genuinely enjoy my work because I am a curious person and want to understand tasks at hand. Since I joined this company, I have developed a belief that there is no such thing as an impossible task, only things you are unwilling to do.

Every role in a company comes with its own challenges. These challenges often come one after another, each more demanding than the last. Those who are unwilling to push their limits will view these challenges as nonexistent, while those who seek self-improvement will actively find ways to overcome struggles. There are no impossible obstacles, only those who are unwilling to challenge themselves.

What is your most satisfying project or experience during your time at PRORIL?
My proudest task at PRORIL was in engineering and testing. I have been with PRORIL for over 20 years. I started as a production line operator and after about a year, I was transferred to the R&D Department. This sparked my passion for engineering and testing. Since then, I have found great satisfaction in the contributions I have made in these areas.

At PRORIL, I often joke that I am like both an ER doctor and a forensic pathologist. Why do I say that?
ER Doctor: Just as an ER doctor is always on call to handle unexpected medical issues, I am often called upon to quickly resolve problems that require immediate action.
Forensic Pathologist: When it comes to delving into complex issues or handling customer complaints, I feel like a forensic pathologist because this role requires me to use my experience and investigative analysis to uncover the root cause, much like how a forensic pathologist performs autopsies to determine the cause of death.

I enjoy using my imagination at work to challenge my own understanding and enhance my knowledge and skills. Because of the journey of engineering and testing, I have continually learned and grown through failures. Each setback along the way has helped me build valuable experiences, ultimately enabling me to solve problems successfully. This is what gives me the greatest sense of accomplishment in my job.
